1. Be an individualist—Chose a foundation that suits your lifestyle, skin type, and skin tone. Just because your girlfriend uses a particular foundation doesn’t mean, it will work for you.
2. Set the tone for the rest of your face. Think of your face as a canvas of a beautiful portrait—If you want a beautiful face you’ve gotta have a beautiful canvas in which to lay the color. In other words the flawlessness of the complexion is a huge factor in creating a look that is fresh, youthful, and polished.
3. The more natural the better. Your foundation should never be so noticeable that skin appears heavy, dull, or “made up.” It should look like you’re not wearing anything, (like a second skin). I like to say, “like you’re not trying too hard.”
4. Be prepared to pay more for a good foundation if necessary. The quality and performance should be the deciding factor not always the price. Buy the best you can afford and you’ll be pleased in the long run.
5. Wear a Primer–I recommend wearing a good primer under all foundations for several reasons: Firstly, to keep from clogging pores and to help diminish fine lines, and wrinkles: all while leaving the complexion smoother. Finally, it helps makeup last longer.
